Well, you remind me that i need to expand my "About Me" section of my channel: listing things that i like or don't like, etc. Movies ? Two polar opposites quench my movie thirst the best : either sickish shit dealing with metaphysics or the occult that's believable, or extreme comedy. Let's see.... my favs are '8MM', 'Angel Heart", 'Eve's Bayou', 'Losing Isiah', 'Three Billboards' (last year), 'Mule' (this year), 'The Crying Game' (about Ireland/England), 'Office Space', 'Caddy Shack', 'The Jerk', 'Breakfast Club'. I have not seen any of the movies that you mentioned sorry :(. But i heard the 'Shawshank' redemption was great.

Ah Eurovision. Two or three years ago a French guy on Zippcast was putting up one video each day of his top 20 entries into the contest. Of course i watched each one but i must say i thought the songs were mostly rubbish, with all due respect: sorry i'm not politically correct but U know that by now. At least three of the 20 songs were exact rip offs of some songs i found from the 60s when i made my "Golden Oldies" channel. Yep - identical chord progressions, beats, everything the same except the lyrics. Maybe the statue of limitations gave out after 50 years or they thought no one would notice ? The vids were well produced, you could see they had put money into it. And some were just so dramatic they were over the top or of old-fashioned rock that no one i know would listen to. Now i see this year (or last?) an Israeli won who had a crazy rap song ? haha, that says a lot for the contest ? And though it is "Euro" each year they chose a few non-European countries to compete ? For me, i could better amused by the boring "America Has Talent" which produced at least 2 big talents in its 15-17 (don't know how many) years: Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Sorry but for the whole it looked like European music, at least in this contest is cheezy. That's not to say there IS some great music from Europe, but for me its not in that competition. Some underground sites with original music of DJs from Austria, Germany and so forth are really progressive dance music !

Happy to hear you avoided a row with your dad ! He sounds cool to me but then again, i'm not his daughter. Ever wonder how we would get along with out parents as just people and not parents ? hmm. Well, i was awoke this morning at 5:30 a.m. by a crazy lady screaming and pounding on the door of the guy below me whom she chose at random - she did not know him. This elicited 4 cop cars, an ambulance w/ paramedics and a huge fire truck; all sitting in my parking lot. Before that last night my neighbors were screaming and arguing so i couldn't sleep. What's wrong w/ people ? Did they not get what they wanted from Santa ? Same ole' story each year. So i am on my second beer now for the holiday and i better have a coffee after this if i wanna stay up ! Its just before 6 pm here now and just starting to get dark as the night becomes full of booms and blasts. >.

Its good to get out in the real world away from cyberville ? I'm planing on staying in tonight and hopefully catching up on here and YT. Its become too risky to go out here anymore. Never mind the drunk drivers - the fireworks and firecrackers will begin any time now - tons of them all around me as well as huge displays on the nearby beach - and yes: guns being fired ! Each year there are x amount of deaths from the guns and ya can't tell the sound from the firecrackers. Yo my dear Mark, wazzup ? No, i don't have a lot of "friends". I'm too fussy and can't deal with the drama that a lot of ppl want to lay on others. Lots of places i go to - movies and out to dinner are often by myself. Its easier that way, and you're not here, soo .... haha Speaking of which i saw a great movie yesterday: "Mule". I liked it so much it would be my choice for 'movie of the year'. About an 80 y.o. man who becomes a drug runner with the primary focus on his failed relationships with his family and his inability to get ahead financially in the 'straight' world. I'll put my bet on "Crazy Rich Asians" getting the Oscar for best movie, though. It was cool as far as eye candy - wealthy mansions, fab footage of Hong Kong, awesome costumes. But alas, the love plot was a bit too fairy-taleish for me nor did i care for a key racist remark in the script against whites. Other contenders i would support would be "Bohemian Rhapsody", A Star Is Born (Lady gaga), Avengers, and Jurassic (park or whatever it was). Did you get to see any of these ? Even the J-Lo movie i saw last week was decent ("Second Chance").
