To make matters worse for Hull, about 200 Ohio militiamen refused to go beyond American territory. The general nonetheless remained confident. On July 12, 1812, he took his men across the Detroit River and into Canada, where he immediately issued a written proclamation telling inhabitants that they would “be emancipated from tyranny and oppression.” “Had I any doubt of eventual success I might ask your assistance, but I do not,” Hull declared. “I come prepared for every contingency.”
These words proved immediately laughable. Hull briefly laid siege to Fort Malden but soon withdrew after warriors under the leadership of Shawnee chief Tecumseh intercepted his supply train. British commander Isaac Brock then chased the Americans back across the river and began launching cannon fire at Fort Detroit from the Canadian side. Brock arranged for a bogus document to reach the Americans that told of large numbers of Native Americans approaching Detroit.

I see your gif link but it doesn't show up on my channel. Here is what you do to get that to work here. There is a site you can upload pics to. It is https://imgur.com/upload. So once you upload the image that you want you click on that and you will see where it says get share links. Click in the box that shows BBCode (Forums). Copy and paste that link here when you share gifs or images. I don't know how to get them to show other then that site. There is something under settings which you can find in my video for this site. There you will see something that says BBCode enable or not. Hope that helps.

I was helping our good friend Genny out with Blaine's channel last night. It seems that there is no option to change the country lol. I will look around though. Oh I always been known to use chick pics for avatars. But I can be random about it lol. Trump was invited to George Bush senior's funeral. I guess all presidents are to honor one of their own. I don't follow everything about the politics over here, but it can cloud ones mind from time to time. Yeah I am using this channel. You can totally find me here. Have a great day forward!

Yikes, Dil..I'm running out of time this morning, but yes....take some interest in my music, and don't talk to yourself on my channel so that I know that you really don't take an interest. Just pretend when you come to my channel. I'm perfectly okay with living in the dark where that's concerned. Besides, if you say you don't like it, you know I'll just force it on you....the way I used to with Journey. Awww, so Mina saw Santa, but was scared? I get that. Many children are. Most normal people don't look quite like that. I know one person who does though. Yes, send pics of the kitchen, I'd like to see them. Okay, gotta run....my time is out! Gotta go to work! I haven’t been on long enough to figure things out either, Al. Y’all and your “Colonist” term when referring to us. I have another friend from England who does the same. I had never been called that before him, and I thought it was bizarre. Lol, you’re right, I don’t talk politics. I have strong opinions, but not everyone shares in my thoughts, and I like all my friends, so I’ll stick to living in LaLa Land on the channels. ~~I agree, there’s a more congenial vibe on this site, and I’m actually not so sure there are less people, just maybe less channels. I definitely believe there is more “talking” that goes on here, and that’s a good thing. ~Glad to hear you had a good report from the doc. I’m sure that takes a load off. OMGosh, you’re using all these real names on here now! Hope y’all have fun visiting with Rita and family. BTW, speaking of names, I really like the old Dil name. :))

Hey Al! So you're redoing your kitchen? That's cool. I just bought myself a handsaw, so maybe I can do something myself. I think changing the window to a door is a really great idea! Much better use of space imo. Can't believe YOU would have trouble with anyone. ;) I like it over here. How 'bout you? It's a nice group of people to be around, and even for those I don't speak to (because I've not met them yet), I'm so used to seeing them over at the other place, they sort of make it feel even more like home. ~ Let me know how your sleep test goes.
