Going into TVs for themed worlds and stuff I kinda get the Ape Escape 3 vibe here.

pretty much alot of early 32 bit 3D Platformers were like that back,even Mega Man Legends and especially Mystical Ninja 64: Starring Goemon were also guilty of this. like sometimes when I'm playing as Yae,her Bazooka gun won't always lock on enemey target because of that god awful camera which is a chore to juggle with.
infact,I'll go into even further detail about bad 3D Camera angles when I upload my Castlevania 64 video later tonight=P
and yes,this was a pretty cool early concept to go into parody tv worlds,but Yumi from Ape escape 3 did it way better though.XD
