yeah.XD funny thing is that alot of people say that the Battle Athelete 2021 reboot is using alot of clitched 90's Plot Tropes like you would see in alot of 90's Shounen anime like Yuu Yuu Hakusho,like with the whole crime organization "Behind the scenes" Tropes,and if that weren't enough Zalure,we also get these bizzare subplots of Yana Christopher's former batshit insane twisted Partner (and Sister) Yucil wanting to whipe out all humanity and forcing Yana to Kill Lydia with a Gun!! I mean holy shit,it didn't take long for this show's "Shits getting real" plots to kick in,which I can see why alot of people are comparing to to alot of 90's Anime tropes,Now I'm curious to see what the original 90's anime was like.XD

this week's Tropical Rouge was typical classroom Club shananigins,which this week Manatsu and the gang are trying to host a radio show (and failing miserabully at it with alot of cringe comic releif results) but the highlight of this episode was Laura's amazing singing which she pretty much saved the day here:P Not much I can say here,this was typical Precure slice of life filler,but laura was the highlight here:P

So far,nothing good under the summer radar yet,but if I see anything interesting in the upcoming summer lineup i'll let you know!

and now onto this week's newest episode of "Super Cub"

Some great highlight moments in this episode as we get some highsights on Shii's Family life as her family owns a Bakery/Coffee shop which Koguma and Reiko stop by to try out some of the new flavor bitter taste Coffee,and we discover that shii's dad is american,talk about Mind blow!

than next throughout the 2nd half of this episode,Koguma and Reiko go shopping for some winter clothes,and one of the greatest highlights of this episode was Reiko getting that bizzare look in her face which she was thinking about buying a Gun.XD OK LIKE WHAT?????.lol which when I saw that scene I was like:

" Uh,......ok Reiko,what the hell are you gonna do with a Gun????? this is a slice of life Motorcycle anime,this isn't Dirty Pair nor is it Solty Rei nor is this Gun Slinger Girl,unless your gonna try out for the sega Genesis Road Rash competition,you'd be better off buying a club/whip.lol"

untile Koguma reminds Reiko they're out buying Winter Clothes!:P

also,Shii doesn't exactly see Eye to Eye with her mother dued to her mother's embarrassing antics,although gets along well with her father,but maybe more of this aspect of her character will be explored in later future episodes. next week seems to be a Winter themed episode.

you gotta point there,the reason I compared Shii to Sango was because of how Cutesy and Moeblob Shii acted in her first introduction appearance while giving out coffee.lol so again,this is only her first episode introduction,so maybe more of her character will be explored in next week's episode,maybe she also has a tragic backstory like Koguma as we yet to see her parents either. just remember,in Some Anime tropes,the cutesy Moeblobs also have tragic backstories which they use the eyecandy to hide they're true personalities.

funny though,Riri from assault Lily almost went this route trope untile episodes later when she finnally broke down into tears over the lost of Yuri

well in Bakuon,Chisame was rediculousely short for her height,but that didn't stop her from joining the bike club especially when she attempted that Sega Genesis-like "Super Hang On" Arcade game.lol

just finished watching this Week's new Super Cub episode,and so this week we're finnally introduced to our 3rd Main character "Shii Eniwa" so i'm assuming that the episode's title "The Girl of Summer-Sky Aqua" is refering to the new character Shii,but there absolutely remotely nothing Aqua or Water based about her.lol [a summer sky maybe,but nothing aqua]

Anyway,she's your typical shy/cute Moe Blob character,but done far better than Sango/Cure Coral from Tropical Rouge Pretty Cure,because Shii at least show's some personality other than just typical Moeblob eyecandy,as it's revealed she'd never learned how to ride a bike at a young age (kind of reminds me of Hiromi Maiharu from Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club,a 2017 Bicycling anime gem.lol) well,if thats the case,than she has no chance on riding a cub like how Koguma suggested.

Koguma is now requested to deliver some expresso/coffee equipment for the School's Culture Festival hooking up a tiny RV Trailer to her Super Cub,which this was pretty well done,this is how you do a slice of life/school culture festival type episode right by adding some adventure element to it with Koguma getting all the equipment to her super cub.

next week will be an episode focused on our new 3rd main character shii,so This may be interesting to see how her character will flesh out.

some highlights BTW,the red jacket Koguma is wearing in this episode for the autuum season was a nice touch:P

throughout my personal experiance of watching alot of 80's/90's Cartoons and anime gems,I don't think I've ever recall any Animated series or movie with a Mermaid on a skateboard,not even Ariel from Disney's the Little Mermaid never attempted to pick up this habit.lol.

but maybe Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi has some,but I never did follow that series/franchise back in the day,so I can't help ya with that one either.

the week's whole episode of Tropical Rouge Pretty Cure in general was genius and well written which Laura had quite a field day trying to get back her confiscated Aqua Pot which these methods include disguising herself as a Human,sneaking into the school :Metal Gear Solid" Style.and the skateboarding Mermaid Laura scene ws the highlight moment of this episode.lol.

and when they almost got "BUSTED" Luckially Cure Papaya/Minori saved they're hides by coming up with an excuse which according to the rules that since they're club advisor allowed them to bring the aqua pot to they're own club,the bitch from the commitiee wasn't allowed to confiscate it.lol and of course Laura's almost "BUSTED" moments were priceless which they almost came close to finding out if she was a mermaid.

although I was expecting Laura to pulloff some Tony Hawk skate boarding tricks,but since she's a mermaid,that can't be helped.lol

pretty good episode this week:P

oh and for more 80's anime characters??? some special honorable Mentions defentially go to Both A-Ko from Project Ako and , Mitsuko Hayami from Cosmos Pink Shock!

A-Ko's Movies were amazing Sci Fi/Comedy.lol

but for poor Hayami from Cosmos Pink shock however,as Much as I would have love to put her on top of the game which she had alot of potential to be queen of the 80's Era,but since she only had a One Shot OVA which never got picked up for a full series,she didn't have much to work with as we barely got any development backstory on her attempting to find her boyfriend on her pink cosmos ship.lol. Hayami was a great character in general with a "No two fucks given on bad guys chasing after her while determined to find her boyfriend" but sadly alot of potential was wasted and never got picked up for a full tv series!

Oh yes,we can't leave the ledgendary OGs in the dust like Sailor Mercury (Personally I pefer Sailor Saturn out of all the original sailor scouts.XD) and Lina inverse and Sakura Kinomoto from the 90's Era.

Another 90's character who gets a special honor mentioned is Hikaru from Magic Knight Rayearth,while she's awsome too,but I had to go with Nurse Angel Ririka after watching this amazing series.lol.

in the 2000's for me?? this was a difficult choice,but this Award honor defentially has to go to Nono from Diebuster,she's a ditzy girl who turns into a freaken android and splits a planet in half.XD.

oh and Yes,we can't forget Nanoha of the 2000's,she defied that era along with the original Precure OGs (Cure Black and White from Futari Wa),Nanoha was at the top of her game in Nanoha A's,but after that,the franchise started to take a nose dive for the worst starting with Striker S,and don't get me started on those awful Vivid Spinoffs.

and of course I have to give a special honorable mention to yoko from gurren lagann! (One of the original THick thighs before Ryza came around:P)

Well Zalure after last week's awkward Reiko focused episode,This week's New Super Cub,we're getting back on track with more amazing Koguma focused episodes,and this week is another good one,and so Koguma and Reiko decide to hit the Kamakura hot springs during they're school field Trip,Koguma's plans were almost shot dued to a small flu she had,but than she was like "Screw it" because she'd figured a little cold/flu isn't gonna stop her from seeing that resort despite Reiko's warnings to take it easy haha.

and of course the small highlight at the end is that reiko's own Motorcycle finnally gives out on her,well I have to say Zalure,Reiko did had it coming to her,thats what she gets for trying to attempt to climb MT fuji on her Motorcycle last week's episode.lol

now every generation of anime shows is gonna have at least that one awsome anime character of the year/decades to come by,which is difficult to pick just one right? I mentioned how Mai Kazuki from magical emi was easilly one of the best 80's anime characters and how nurse angel ririka was easilly the best 90's anime character right? well Here,Koguma is easilly one of the best anime characters of the 2020's! Hina from breakwater almost won this award,but koguma automatically already has her beat on this one,everything from her humorous facial expressions which isn't drawn out dialouge is unmatched.lol

now for best anime character of the 2010's? that would have to go to Misaka Mikoto from Railgun.lol

Last week's Tropical Rouge was actually quite an interesting one,at first glance,it first starts out with the clitched annoying "OH CRAP I Forgot to do my homework" Routine Trope,which that type of episode plot tropes annoys me to no end,especially when Smile Precure did that plot which that season was that trope at it's worst,but here,it's actually done more natural as it actually serves a purpous to that episode's plot of the bad guy's stealing Cure Summer's Motivation where shit got real,and of course Laura had to go through all that trouble going through nasty sewer water for nothing just to try to get manatsu's motivation back.lol.

but Manatsu ends up finding a way to get it back with a pure Lucky asspull,not bad,a rather interesting plot,but this episode's plot could have done much better without the first half's "Oh crap i forgot To Study/Do my homework"plot. ok Zalure,I didn't mind it when Breakwater did it,because at least that one was funny with Natsumi trying to tutor Hina,but future precure seasons need to be done away with this annoying trope.

now this week's tropical rouge is a sand castle building contest,ok,nothing new,because we're seen plenty of Cartoons and Anime do this trope millions of times (Especially when Hey Arnold did this trope.lol),not much I can say on this one,but this one was typical filler:P

yeah.XD weird Reiko Focused Episode,but kind of a rather interesting one (Sorry Reiko,but this isn't ExiteBike for the NES,you gotta take it slow on those mountains girl.lol),but hey,it could have been worst for her Zalure,she's damn lucky she didn't enter the NES California games BMX Race Mini game.lol

even Koguma called Reiko out on that "THAT WAS........so Stupid".XD gotta give koguma credit on that!

Although Koguma herself didn't get alot of screentime in this episode like she did last week,but some interesting highsights here,so not only do we get a weird backstory on Reiko's summer vacation but learn the history on Koguma's so called ":CUrsed" Used cub she bought,it turns out it didn't actually kill those people that she claims from what that old man told her,but just random normal careless accidents like sickness,drug overdose,ect. next week,we'll get more insights about Koguma's Cub which should be interesting:P
