Yeah, America's done that too ~~~ whether it be whitewashing what we did to the Native American population or our shameful history with slavery. Even to this day, like it or not, systemic racism still exists within the confines of this country. No quick fix, though ~~~ it's hard to change the thought process of people who think a certain way. I heard that about NYC ~~~ people leaving in droves. It was eerie to see Times Square barren, on New Year's Eve. They're starting to ramp up vaccination here. Did you hear about Florida? They were letting in anyone from out of state get a vaccine and neglecting some of their native Floridians ~~~ no excuse for that ... even though, they have a significant out-of-state Winter population. That Governor down there will surely lose his next reelection bid ~~~ since this pandemic began, he's made a slew of stupid decisions. Anyways, my friend, may you stay SAFE too and enjoy the rest of your evening. I am OFF to have a few beers. ;)

It's funny, Anton, but in a bad way ~~~ how civilizations can destroy antiquity and for the sake of writing (or rewriting) their own history. I oft wonder what they will say about America and a few hundred years from now. It's true, there seems to be a lot of crime there. I see on CNN, that the Irish foreign minister has thrown in his two cents now as well, calling the riots an assault on democracy. I will never forget the symbolism of our openly gay former prime minister getting in a subtle dig at Pence over his homophobic beliefs during the VPs visit here. Ireland, lecturing America (arguably the most liberal nation on earth) on the attitudes of it's leaders toward the LGBT (I refuse to include Q) community.

its hard to know what to be doing or taking, I think if you get it no amount of anything will prevent it taking its course, though as you say it might help you resist it to some degree.. its wearing ppl down mentally too just thinking about it, and that dont help...as for cats I think they own you more than you own them...meow:)

I think things will eventually happen with their crackdown on democracy in Hong Kong or perhaps within the South China Sea [their buildup and claim to many a tiny little island] ... and with Taiwan, as well.
