Great video! Oddly enough I just updated my background and it took seconds. I expect the uploader to come relatively soon. Have any idea when the beta starts for VBF?

The closed beta for VBF will start February 19th. If development goes well enough, open beta might not be to far from the closed beta launch date.

A very thoughtful and insightful video, thank you for posting this. The tag thing is news to me. We (the site's original developer and I) built the site around the core concepts of classic YouTube, which included a tag-based search functionality we maintain today. As so many sites were eliminating tag-based searches for videos, I guess I never thought anyone wouldn't want tags. I'll look into this with my team when we convene, we may be able to do something about that, granted it doesn't put a video at a search disadvantage. The image thing is indeed a work in progress. Due to MetaJolt's penchant for attracting, shall we say, negative attention, we've had to implement some very potent DDOS protections, which regrettably play havoc with customization. It is a work in progress, and definitely one of the big issues I'm looking to address. The banners thing is a bug, on the to-do list. Thanks for pointing it out! MetaJolt does have a DMCA policy from our original run in the summer of 2016, which is at the bottom of the page. One benefit of the current structure is that if a video is removed on a third party platform, the MetaJolt embed page still exists (with it's views, ratings, comments, etc.) which we hope to allow users to then upload the files directly, or embed them from other 'indie' sources as we add support to more and more platforms. You are right in saying it's not really good or bad though. Finally, the uploader. I try and touch on the state of things every week in the Weekly Dispatch show. From what I know right now, given the direction I expect things to go, and our forecasted operating budget, expect uploading to return in force this summer. Again, many thanks Craftinglord, this was a terrific video! Community insight like this is invaluable in helping my team and I identify and remedy problems, and ultimately serve you all better. Rock most awesomely on sir, thank you!
