Firstly, the devs and I have reached a conclusion that while groups are still possible in their current format, performance or features would likely have to be sacrificed; something I am averse to doing without some plan of action to amend them. As such, our developers from Eastern Europe are going to explore a few alternative options in the weeks ahead to see what we may yet be able to salvage from the current groups function. Barring that, we will start again fresh (likely in a different coding language) sometime later.

So, what are we going to do with our resources with groups temporarily off the table? We are going to have an uploader again! Please check out the test video here, and tell us what you think of the current architecture, link in the comments.

Some quick answers to some questions you may have:

Q: Does this mean the community creator program thing is off the table?
A: No, we're still planning on putting our creators front and center with a lot of neat perks, but that system will come later.

Q: When will the uploader be available?
A: We need some more feedback before we can go forward with this one. We'll need to make a number of estimations for the servers to handle it with our Video Delivery Service partner, and I want more data before I way under or over estimate it. An ETA will be posted as soon as we know more.

Q: How many videos can I post?
A: There will be a weekly data limit. There will also be a limit on the size of individual files. The limit will be the same for all members.

Q: Who can upload?
A: We are planning a time consideration to the uploader for the initial launch period, though this may be subject to change. We want to make sure users who have been with us for a while have first dibs at it in the event it's more popular than anticipated.
