Courtesy HD Video | Allied Joint Force Command Naples | 10.26.2018 -- Sweden is contributing to Trident Juncture 18 by providing qualified troops from all Swedish Armed Forces combat forces. This exercise will enhance Sweden’s cooperation with Finland, the US, Norway and NATO. Their naval and air forces will be preparing for their future participation in the rapid-reaction NATO Response Force (NRF) during the exercise, and Army troops will be on exercises to reinforce brigade capability. Host nation support will also be provided to NATO troops based in Sweden during the exercise. Within the frames of Host Nation Support (HNS) Sweden is host to three American air units. Most of the personnel comes from 480th Tactical Air Wing normally based in Spangdahlem, Germany. 18 American F-16 fighters are based at F 21 Norrbotten Air Wing in Luleå.
