One of my viewers mentioned the idea of "facing your fears", and from that perspective...it actually seems a lot better! I'm not sure if it was the creator's intention, but if the whole game was about a guy with a fear of clowns, facing up to his fear, with all the clown killing in the latter two thirds of the game...well, it's clever and I hadn't thought of it. :P So maybe that is the whole point of the game and story?
