I laughed so hard when you criticized Amazon's CEO. I think very few people actually hate. Most people are just jealous of his accomplishments, because not even Bill Gates could achieve what Jeff Bezos could achieve. Now, of course, he's the riches...
I laughed so hard when you criticized Amazon's CEO. I think very few people actually hate. Most people are just jealous of his accomplishments, because not even Bill Gates could achieve what Jeff Bezos could achieve. Now, of course, he's the richest man of the world. Here's why Amazon will succeed no matter what. I'll list some factors here. The key factor is, you have less staff doing more tasks, and you are cutting out the middleman. When people order things at Amazon, UPS takes care of the delivery stuff, which costs almost nothing for them. Walmart on the other hand, has to pay the delivery driver, the transportation costs, the distributer who sends the merchandise to the truck, and finally the associates to stock the shelves. So essentially, when a consumer is buying an item, a big percentage is cut and Walmart sees very little of that money. Amazon has only ONE person handle the merchandise. There can be dozens of people working at a warehouse, but they handle way more items than Walmart does, and they just pack it in the UPS truck. They don't have to stock shelves, because they aren't a brick and mortar facility like Walmart is. Now, Amazon did launch Amazon GO back in Jan 2018, and its made a quite a big success with a completely automated system with little human interaction whatsoever. Then, of course, Amazon is has Amazon Alexa and Amazon Music, which is getting LOTS of advertising on TV and radio. Amazon has never did much advertising until now, so as a business, they are seeing lots of future growth and they reaching new heights everyday.
And lastly, I do own 2 shares of Amazon stock. They were already over $1,100 a share back in November when I bought my first share after their huge 3rd quarter earnings were realized.
