William Jackson | 325th Fighter Wing Public Affairs | 10.06.2016 -- As as result of Hurricane Matthew, A-10 Thunderbolt aircraft from Moody AFB, Georgia, relocated to Tyndall Air Force Base. Tyndall was chosen as a safe haven on the basis of location, out of danger of the storm, and its ability to house Moody support personnel and provide maintenance to Moody's aircraft. Evacuated aircraft and designated personnel will return when the storm danger has passed. The A-10s are from the 23rd Fighter Group which includes the 74th, 75th and 76th Fighter Squadrons.
