and it's about time too,because this is one of the best Sega Genesis Dungeon Crawling JRPGs ever made and it's known for being the final Sega Megadrive game ever released in japan in the final years of the Genesis's Lifecycle in 1996!

Unlike the Sega Gear Gear Versions which were Traditional Basic Dragon Quest style inspired Turn Based RPGs,The Genesis Version uses more of a Side Scrolling Active Time Battle System similar to Final Fantasy 4 and Atelier Ryza,where Enemies will constantly will keep attacking you while your planning out your Strategy
However,there is a new twist to this weird new Battle system which instead of simpily choosing commands from a menu screen,you instead have to enter Complicated/Complex Button Commands in a very specific Manner in order to use any of Arle Nadja's spells which this confusing battle system takes time getting used too!
for example,in order to use Arle's Fire Magic,you must hold Down the "A" and enter "up", "left", "down", and "right"
and to do her Ice Magic Spell,you must Hold down the "A" Button and enter "down", left, up, and right
this cryptic battle system takes getting used too but it's loads of fun,because you need to be able to memorize these button commands in these intense battles to keep you on your toes so that you don't take too much unnecessary damage,The Green Puyo Puyo slimes shouldn't give you too much trouble,but holy crap are these Blue Puyo Puyos a Pain in the ass to kill,because they always float in mid air and your Ice and Fire Magic spells constantly miss them,so you need to whack them down with your fan weapon,but i digress ^^
But despite all that,The Button commands are no where near as Badly Confusing as The god Awful Confusing Action commands in Acclaim's Batman Forever for the Super Nintendo.lol
and I have to save,that the Genesis went all out with this game's amazing bloodpumping FM synth 80's style soundtrack ^^

Also,this version has alot more halarious witty Cutscenes than both the MSX Versions and the Game Gear Versions making the Genesis Version have more of a halarious witty Magical Girl Type Anime Adventure.lol.
