Anyway,the Story focuses on a Young Girl named Erika who aims her way to the Top to become an Idol Singer in order to inherate a fortune from her Illed Mother which she is about to pass away which her mother left a fortune in her Will which she plans to give it to one of her 3 daughters,depending on which one of them is worthy enough to inherate the fortune!
"Idol Hakkenden is an adventure game developed by Natsume - one of only two for the Famicom, to our knowledge. In it, one has to follow Erika Saionji as she strives to become a popular idol and thus win the family inheritance, ahead of her two sisters, Shizuka and Reika. To reach this goal, the player will have to traverse various locales, use Erika’s gift for singing and solve some relatively simple puzzles. The game is quite charming, with a great soundtrack and some funny moments. It was also pretty difficult to localize, due to abundance of accents, trivia questions and some aspects of Japanese culture that could be unknown to the Western players."
"The online version of the manual is also included with the patch/readme, so it is recommended to check it out, as it may give the players more insight into the characters and available commands!"
speaking of Point and Click adventure text/Visual Novel games,this game is also alot like The Nes Famicom/Super Famicom DragonBall games Developed by TOSE which were also visual novel/Text Adventure games,except the only difference is that those DragonBall games blended in Turn Based/Card Battle RPG elements in them.lol

Also the Concept of this game also reminds me of the 80's Anime Idol Densetsu Eriko,since both of them centered on a story of a female protagonist aiming to win the hearts of people with a singing career as an Idol!:P
