Description
Someone asked me, "if I was stuck on a desert island, what book would I bring?" I said "How to build a boat"
I remember when I was popular, those were the days...........Actually that`s a lie, I was never popular :)

oi yeah Black Peter, Zwarte Piet. Well I left that part out...but here goes, another long story. Sorry bout that. A couple hundred years ago when that Dutch teacher made up Sinterklaas and such, his helpers where, black. And all where called Zwarte Piet. ehm his sort of slaves. Because ( sadly) that was common in those days. They had to put the presents through the chimney and such. And if kids where bad ? the threat was Piet bring you back to Spain in the toy bag, It sort evolved off course through the years, Piet was no longer his helper, but equal to Sinterklaas. All kids wanted to be Piet not Sinterklaas. But yeah it is "black face" and in America they are very sensitive about that. An American journalist saw the tradition while in Holland, he wrote about it, Dutch black immigrants picked up on that, protests and such. So now black Pete is white. with some black smeres on his face due to Chimney climbing.

Hey there Michael! It has been ages since we have talked. Great to see another familiar face over here. This place is still going, unbelievable as that seems. How are things with you? Genny mentioned you found a nice girl to settle down with, and that is certainly great news my friend! Also heard you had some recent knee surgery. I hope you are on your way to a speedy recovery. Anyway, it's great to hear from you, and I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

"Hey" to you as well. Lol....one of comes from Chester, England and one of us comes from the southern United States...guess which is which? By now your infection should be well on it's way out of your system, so you should be dancing by Christmas day. Send a vid. Yes, I knew you were going to upload my feature (I'm a Witchy Woman that way, and just "know" things). BTW, I mentioned Witchy Woman because that's one of Alex's favorite songs. My 'run up to Christmas' has been very hectic, but I think by now, I like it that way. I baked all day today, I baked all day yesterday, and I'll cook, prep, and bake tomorrow. It's hectic...and fun. Where will you be spending Christmas? One or two places? Hope you have a great Christmas eve! XOX :) P.S. I copy/pasted your message to me on this, then left the comment, then had to delete it and repost, SO if you get two notifications from me, that's why. I know the rest of the world gets notifications. I'm not set up for that. It's always a surprise.

Hey Michael to walk with a cane looks cool, kinda. Well when it's a wooden one with a copper or silver handle on top. Hope you feel your own self soon. Sinterklaas lol ok a long explaination: couple hundred years ago a Dutch teacher found out about Saint Nicholaus, a holy guy who lived in Turkey, gave on his B-day presents to the children in his village. So that teacher made a story up. He wasn't from Turkey but Spain, and on 5 Dec. he comes with his helpers to Holland ,on a boat, and on his horse he rides the roofs and his helpers go in the Chimney and give presents in the shoes of kids. So Dutch Settlers took that tradition to America. But the English speaking changed that story. He was from the North pole, with his helpers, and a sled , raindeer,Chimney. stocking presents. And from America it spread all over the world. Anyway: Sinterklaas= Santa Claus. On a Beach boys album they sing about Saint Nick. St. Nicholaus we made that into Sinterklaas, easier for Dutch kids to understand. So Sinterklaas the 5th of Dec. overhere is still more popular than Santa claus at Christmas time. But without Dutch setllers coming to America, the world would never had Santa Claus at Christmas.

Hey Michael ! I only know a bit of how you are, by reading here and there, so I do hope all is well. I read you need a cane? does that mean you have a cast of some sort? hope it all goes well? I saw you uploaded a song recently and was gonna view it but it seems to be gone from here. But Voice of the Beehive is pretty good. I liked Monsters and Angels by them a lot too.

Oh no, lord Michael, that's terrible news;( Hopefully your limp is temporary and if not get one of those canes with a sword inside;) I hope your pain is manageable so you don't get hooked on those meds that do dull the pain, but can cause a different kind of long time pain;( On a lighter note, i'm still searching for those cheeses and won't stop until i eat some! Maybe the next time i'm at the store i should ask a clerk for help!?! Your video is not available here so i can't comment on it;( I hope you're back to near normal real soon, mate!

Hey Michael sorry I wasn't replying much, but I was just too busy with life and such. My kids take up all my time , not that I am complaining. True happiness they bring. I read on Nathan's that Genny said you're out of town. So I hope you enjoy yourself, and that all is well as can be.
