Probably the most celebrated of all actresses, she was born Norma Jeane Mortenson in Los Angeles on June 1, 1926. Her mother Gladys Pearl Baker was mentally and financially unable to care for young Marilyn and placed her in the care of a foster family. Marilyn's father's identity was never known. During her career, Monroe's films grossed more than $200 million ($2 Billion today). She died on August 5, 1962, at only 36 years old.
Monroe had three husbands in her lifetime. As a teen, she wed merchant marine Jimmy Dougherty. In 1954 she was briefly married to baseball great Joe DiMaggio, and two years later, she married playwright Arthur Miller.
With her breathy voice and hourglass figure, Monroe became a much-admired international star, despite her chronic insecurities regarding her acting abilities. Monroe suffered from pre-performance anxiety that sometimes made her physically ill and was often the root cause of her legendary tardiness on film sets.
On May 19, 1962, Monroe made her now-famous performance at John F. Kennedy's birthday celebration, singing "Happy Birthday, Mr. President." Moments later, President Kennedy appeared on stage, saying, "I can now retire from politics after having had 'Happy Birthday' sung to me in such a sweet, wholesome way."
Monroe has been imitated over the years by a number of celebrities, including Madonna, Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani.
On August 5, 1962, at only 36 years old, Marilyn Monroe died at her Los Angeles home. An empty bottle of sleeping pills was found by her bed.
There has been some speculation over the years that she may have been murdered, but the cause of her death was officially ruled as a drug overdose. There have also been rumors that Monroe was involved with President John F. Kennedy and/or his brother Robert Kennedy around the time of her death.

Good evening Kandace, just flying by to see how you are doing. Springtime is just a delightful time of year, isn't it? It's my favorite season for so many reasons, I can hardly wait for the butterflies to appear. I know that you were once active on Upload Stars, we were friends there, in fact I happened upon one of your channels just the other day. I still visit channels of those who left long ago in hopes that they might return. Well, if you ever decide to return to US that would be one more place that we'd have to keep in touch with each other. This site, at least for me is extremely quiet. Anyway, take good care, enjoy the beautiful springtime weather and we will catch up with each other eventually.

Hello Kandace! I rarely visit any of your channels to be honest, because I'm not on this site very often. You have 4 channels to choose from, so I mix it up. Yeah, it's evident that the msm hates President Trump, non-stop lies, lies, and more lies about our president, and everyone who supports him. How in the hell can anyone be so naive as to believe the BULLSHIT that the FAKE NEWS cable channels spread? They spew their insane conspiracy theories, nothing is fact based, and they twist the truth constantly. The race card is pretty much all they got, along with victimhood and identity politics, all of which run rampant on these sleezy channels. I do see a rise in black Americans walking away from the Democrat party, hopefully now the Jewish people will follow their lead. There are 3 women in the U.S. House of Representatives who are terrorizing America, all playing victims. Anyway, I need to stop, I know in my heart that President Trump has America's best interest at heart, and he will prevail. I support President Trump 100%, I'm so grateful for his service to our country. TRUMP 2020

Thanks for keeping in touch with me dear Kandace, I appreciate your friendship. Just stopping by to wish you a wonderful weekend, hopefully the sun will appear. We had 4 inches of snow the other day, and some snow showers late last night, all of which have pretty much disappeared now. It was heart wrenching as to what happened in Alabama, tornadoes are frightening, sad when there is a loss of life, and having your home, and valuables destroyed in seconds. Well, you take care, till we meet again.
