Well, I've calmed down a bit lol and thank you so much Sherrie for your great comment on my page. I spent most of yesterday in a disbelief haze. Not to sound morbid but... such is life. Chris' death simply reminds me of how fragile our lives are... Man, Mudhoney... great group but unfortunately never got to see them. The Screaming Trees from Ellensburg... I sure remember them... you're after me heart there lol... With Kurt and Aberdeen.. most of us didn't even know or care about where he or they came from. They were a great little band that we all used to see at the clubs here... then all of a sudden they were the biggest band in the world! It was crazy! But I'll still stand with what I used to tell folks.. "That Nevermind album is genius, EVERY song!" And back then it just hit EVERYONE... Hey! Have ya seen the movie/documentary "Hype!"? Hey Sherrie. That was so interesting about seeing all those bands and especially New Order. Somehow it does seem believable that they would not be as good live. They look like they are half asleep in the video. The girl looks like she either hates being there, or is dying of stage fright.
Bet you must have some really great stories of the concerts you have seen ? I would love to hear some. You know, odd stuff. Nothing really remarkable really happened at any concerts i went to, but i have not been to nearly as many as you.
Just the Bob Dylan concert a few years back - I was right up next to the stage, so excited to hear his classic songs, but he did not sing any ! He came on stage with stark white theatrical make up plastered all over his face and sang songs about Jesus.
